Rachel Cartier, consultant in cultural engineering, has forged her career marked by the discovery and promotion of new talents who have become recognized figures in the music industry.
As Head of Music at Deezer, she led the streaming platform's music strategy, overseeing all curation and original creation, positioning Deezer as a trailblazer and privileged partner for artists and the music industry in France.
She was one of the first women to hold the role of Editorial Manager for a streaming platform in France, also one of the youngest, achieving this position at the age of 26.
Rachel is a member of the gender equality strategic committee at the french institution National Music Center. She was named one of the 100 Women in Culture 2020 by the Femmes de Culture association.
Rachel also chaired MEWEM, french and leading branch of the first European mentorship program for women and gender minorities entrepreneurs in creative industries and has just been reelected as board member.
Passionate about architecture, contemporary art, and photography, Rachel has expanded her network and expertise beyond music, showcasing her eclectic interests in multidisciplinary projects. She recently embarked on an exploratory journey to East Asia including Korea, to study Culture’s soft power and explore the emerging cultural scene.
Her humanistic vision permeates every aspect of her work, promoting inclusive and equitable representation through her curation and creation strategies.
